Waste Management offers free trash to senior citizens
Sky-Hi News Intern
To support Grand County’s older adults, Waste Management (WM) is giving the opportunity for seniors, 65 and older, to be able to drop off all trash and recyclables to Waste Management’s Hot Sulphur Springs location for free.
Waste Management wishes to “give back to the comminty,” said Michelle Madrid-Montoya. “We understand Grand County is strapped in this economy, and that is why we want to help senior citizens get money back into their pockets.”
This permanent fixture began Oct. 1.
Seniors will be able to continue to drop off their trash as well as drop off recyclables, making it easier for them to recycle. There is no limit as to how much trash senior citizens can bring. However, Waste Management does not accept any hazardous materials such as consruction debris, yard waste, motor oil, paint or batteries.
