Water shutoffs in Hot Sulphur
Residents of portions of Hot Sulphur Springs will be without water for most of today, Wednesday Oct. 15, and possibly most of tomorrow, Thu. Oct. 16.
Hot Sulphur Springs Town Clerk Sandy White explained the town is conducting hydrant maintenance at the corner of Grand Ave. and Maple St. Town work crews are shutting water valves off which will cause water outages on the north side of town.
The hydrant in question is attached to one of Hot Sulphur Spring’s water main lines requiring all water in the area be shut off for maintenance work. White said after workers have verified that the water is no longer flowing they will begin working on the hydrant.
The work on the hydrant itself is expected to take approximately four hours.
White explained that if work crews do not have sufficient time to complete the project today work will continue tomorrow, including more water shut offs.
Water will be restored to the portions of Hot Sulphur Springs where the flow was shut off by the end of the business day today.
