Way to honor Amy’s memory is to emulate her best traits

To the Editor:

In discussing the recent tragedy of losing Ms. Gallagher with an associate, he shared with me some words of wisdom that I feel are worth passing on.

Although she was only a part of our schools for a short time, she left a lasting impression on many students, coworkers and parents. To honor her memory, we should look at what she did or how she acted that made that lasting impression and vow to carry it on in our own lives. This is a way that everyone can return the favor to her and carry on an incredible legacy.

Ms. Gallagher was a great role model for our children, and we can only hope that many of them remember what they have learned and carry it on throughout their lives.

Then, one day in heaven, they can laugh and discuss it all with Ms. Gallagher again.
