Weather, locals shine at Granby Tennis Tournament

Granby held its first tennis tournament this past weekend at Raffety Park and it was a “smashing” success. There were many local participants as well as players from California, Oregon, Texas and Illinois.

The tournament had three divisions: novice, intermediate/advanced division for women, and an intermediate/advanced division for men.

Players competed in matches throughout the day on Saturday. All players were guaranteed a minimum of two matches, with many players getting as many as four matches.

The weather was absolutely perfect: There was no rain with warm temperatures and great views from the courts.

Tennis tournament results:

Novice Division
