Wells Fargo awards grants to nine local groups

WINTER PARK – Grand County recipients of grants from the 19th annual Wells Fargo Community Assistance Fund were announced recently by Aneta Williams, Wells Fargo’s store manager for Winter Park. Nine local nonprofit organizations received the investments totaling $4,500.

“Helping those in need and working together is at the heart of our community and what makes Grand County such a great place to live, work, play and do business,” Williams said. “The many small, local grassroots organizations based here play such an important role in our community. We want to show them we appreciate their efforts on behalf of all of us and we’re proud to make these grants as part of our overall community investment efforts.”

The following local organizations received a Wells Fargo Community Assistance Fund grant:

• Fraser Creative Learning Center

• Fraser Valley Elementary PAC

• Fraser Valley Partnership for Trails

• Fraser Valley Recreation Foundation

• Grand County Council on Aging

• Middle Park Music Education Foundation

• Mountain Family Center

• Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA

• Winter Park Ski Educational Foundation

Statewide, more than 200 qualified, community-based non-profit organizations in Colorado will receive funding in 2012 from Wells Fargo through the Wells Fargo Community Assistance Fund. Eligible organizations must be certified 501(c)(3) and have an annual budget of $350,000 or less.
