Wilderness Stewardship training Saturday
Starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 28 the Grand County Wilderness Group is hosting a Wilderness Stewardship training at the St. Louis Creek Campground on County Road 73 west of Fraser.

WISDOM Training – Public Contacts and Wilderness Advocacy by Ralph Swain, USFS Region 2 Wilderness Program Manager
Wilderness Rules and Regulations Refresher – Why so Many Rules? by Nick Schade and Andy Borek, USFS Sulphur Ranger District
Clearing Wilderness Trails – Safe and Practical Handsaw Use by Miles Miller, USFS Sulphur Ranger District
The Grand County Wilderness Group is looking for more volunteers for trail and cabin maintenance, retrieve registration box information in the forest, update bulletin boards at major trailheads in Grand County, pulling and bagging noxious weeds, volunteering at Nation Public Lands Day.
