GLEN HAVEN, Colo. (AP) – Fire managers say a 46-acre blaze north of Estes Park is 60 percent contained.
The fire is burning in heavy timber and steep terrain about 10 miles north of Estes Park. The fire was earlier reported as 25 acres in size, but updated mapping showed it was nearly double that.
Authorities said Wednesday that 75 firefighters were on the ground and a helicopter and three single-engine planes were making water drops.
The cause is unknown.
