Winter Park Resort is hosting a three-day festival called Sonic Bloom connecting dance, art, human performance, and an extensive live entertainment and music line-up. The annual event includes bands and groundbreaking DJs, as well as a variety of visual artists and activities for the whole family.This years festival will benefit the Conscious Alliance and its initiative, Project Restoration, which creates a network of food distribution facilities on impoverished American Indian reservations. For each 10-item non-perishable food donation, patrons receive a free Sonic Bloom commemorative poster.Attendees may enjoy visionary art exhibits, workshops (including yoga, hooping and fire spinning), live painters, projection artists, sculpture, fire performances, beverage and food vendors (with vegetarian and vegan options), a variety of on-site restaurants, craft vendors, and incredible outdoor recreation opportunities. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes.With the Resort summer season already in full swing, the base offers many activity tickets, including for chairlift rides, mountain biking and hybrid bike rental, Colorados largest Alpine Slide, miniature golf course, outdoor climbing wall, Leaps & Bounds Bungee, Amazin human maze, and human gyroscope.The musician and entertainment lineup includes ZILLA, DJ Bassnectar (promoting the Underground Communication album), Lotus, Praang (featuring Steve Kimock, Janover, Travis and Hann), the Glitch Mob, EOTO, Heavyweight Dub Champion, DJ Bluetech, Vibesquad, The Motet Trio, SPORQUE, Rena Jones, David Starfire, ediT, Ana Sia, Nosaj Thing, Eskmo, Welder, Sasha Butterfly Rose, LYNX, Sub-ID, DJ Rootz, Anahata Sound, Jantsen, Patch, Future Simple Project, Pretty Lights, GSP & The Freestyle Movement, and the Sonic Bloom Rebel Alliance Orchestra (featuring Steve Kimock and members of ZILLA, EOTO, Heavyweight Dub Champion and more).Visual artists include JacobEyE, Andrew Jones, sAne, Emerald Installations, Nature, Orange Peel Moses and Todd Shepherd. Guests also may enjoy free camping (hotel accommodations are also available), atmospheric design by Sh*** & Giggles, Unified Field Theory presentation, and cereal buffet (at dawn on Saturday).Jayce, Future Simple Project, LYNX and Jamie Janover, The Motet Trio, GSP & The Freestyle Movement, Pretty Lights, and SPORQUE are set to entertain 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Thursday, June 19. Friday entertainment runs 2 p.m. to 4 a.m. with Future Simple Project, Anahata Sound, DJ Rootz, Rena Jones, Welder, Praang, Jantsen, Lotus, Heavyweight Dub Champion, Vibesquad, Glitch Mob and Ana Sia. Then, to round out the incredible lineup, Saturdays entertainment (1 p.m. to 5 a.m.) includes LYNX and Jamie Janover, Sasha Butterfly Rose, Patch (heavyweight Dub), ediT (with live PA set), Eskmo, Sub-ID, Bluetech, ZILLA, the Sonic Bloom Rebel Alliance Orchestra (featuring Steve Kimock, Sasha Butterfly Rose, Anahata Sound and members of ZILLA, EOTO, Heavyweight Dub and more), EOTO, Bassnectar, Nosaj Thing, and David Starfire.Advance tickets (purchased by June 19) are $115, with admission at the gate available for $135 for all three days. Three-day VIP passes are $250 and include VIP tents and special benefits. One-day Thursday passes are $35 until June 19 or $40 at the gate. Friday one-day passes are $65 until June 19, or $70 at the gate. One-day tickets for Saturdays events are $65 until June 19 or $70 at the gate.
