Winter Park loses power during lunch hour

A fallen tree shut off power in Winter Park briefly on Wednesday, according to Greg Guthridge, Mountain Parks Electric Inc. manager of operations.

“A tree fell into the line,” he said. “That happens all the time.”

The power turned off around 12:02 p.m. and was back on about 12:30 p.m., Guthridge said.

A good portion of the town lost power.

“Not the whole town,” Guthridge added. “I think it probably affected the west side of town.”
