The doors to Real Estate of Winter Park, which opened Feb. 6, offer access to eight longtime local real estate brokers/partners with a combined 111 successful years in the business.

“The principals are very excited about their new partnership, their commitment to the community and the energy their independent office will bring to the area and their long-standing client base,” a release from the team stated.

The team consists of Mike Periolat, Cliff Anderson, Katie Riemenschneider, Jean Wolter, Lisa Leclair Waldorf, Jennifer O’Connor, Shanna Lalley and Peter Gach.

Each has a minimum of eight years experience and is an owner in the company ” a company that chose not to do a national franchise.

The group announced, “While experience is a key reason for success in the competitive real estate industry and a prime prerequisite in establishing the group, the partners are most excited about their team concept, which is unique to Grand County real estate.”

“We play more upon eight owners working as a team,” Leclair Waldorf said. “If someone comes in for help, anyone will help them.”

The members of REWP were some of the top producers at their previous offices and the group is enthusiastic about its recent chance to branch out and form a new company.

With this in mind, the brokers/partners are also committed to “preserving the assets of the area through smart growth.” It’s about “the legacy that the developer leaves for the future,” Anderson said.

Wolter said the group’s new venture has been the most rewarding she’s experienced in the 12 years she has been helping locals buy homes.

“I feel privileged to be invited to join the group,” she said.

Prospective homebuyers cannot only expect the best in customer service at Real Estate of Winter Park, but a world of residential opportunities.

“Client satisfaction is of utmost importance and it is how each broker has developed a successful business,” LeClair said.

Lalley also pointed out the benefits of the owners supporting each other. The company concept is a refreshing pace from what can, at times, be a cutthroat commission world.

With the combined knowledge of the cohesive team and its marketing network clients may peruse Grand County’s available properties feeling confident and comfortable. Combined, the brokers/owners had more than $90 million in total real estate sales last year and already have 70 listings (and more each day) in 2008.

Real Estate of Winter Park already established a competitive market share with the other local brokerage firms. In fact, the company is apparently the fourth-largest real estate office in market shares in the Fraser Valley, and its offices have been open just one month.

It’s not just the owners who are excited about the new company, but the partners all agree the community has been incredibly supportive. “The support has been tremendous, even from other realtors,” O’Connor said.

As avid outdoors enthusiasts and athletes who enjoy the recreational opportunities that abound in Grand County, another top priority for the team is giving back to the area.

“It’s how we get involved and try to help and support the community,” Wolter said.

The owners’ “laundry list” of projects it supports through volunteerism and donations include Middle Park Land Trust open space and trails, Habitat for Humanity, Grand Youth Experiential Adventures, Mountain Family Center, National Sports Center for the Disabled, Headwater Trails Alliance, Special Olympics and Grand Kids.

Many members may also be found serving on their respective town, adjustment, planning and homeowners association boards.

“The new group intends to continue the tradition of top salesmanship within the greater Winter Park area while breathing some fresh new ideas into marketing real estate,” they explained in a press release.

Someone is in the office 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week and an open house celebration is planned for the future (when the weather improves).

For an appointment, stop by or call (970) 726-2600 or (866) 804-2060.

How to get there: Real Estate of Winter Park is located 78622 U.S. Highway 40 in downtown Winter Park (in the old Winter Park Manifest newspaper office).
