Winter Park Resort debuts updates to train service

Winter Park Resort has announced exciting changes to its Winter Park Express Amtrak service for this season, including an expansion of the number of trips offered and a new lounge car.
Riders can now choose from 33 round-trips on each Saturday and Sunday through March 31, as well as on the first two Fridays of each month, Jan. 4 and 11, Feb. 1 and 8, and March 1 and 8.
Each trip departs Denver at 7 a.m. and arrives at the resort at 9 a.m. and leaves Winter Park at 4:30 p.m.to return to Denver at 6:40 p.m.
The new lounge car is one of Amtrak’s bi-level Superliner Sightseer lounge cars, which offers floor to ceiling windows for mountain views as you ride to and from Denver and Winter Park.
Snacks and beverages will also now be served on the Winter Park Express.
Adult fare starts at $29 per way.
