Winter Park Resort opening over 100 acres of Winter Park and Mary Jane territory Thursday
Winter Park Resort will be opening 126 acres of Winter Park and Mary Jane territory on Thanksgiving, which is the earliest Jane territory has been open since 2010.
The Mary Jane Trail and Arrowhead Loop will be open Thursday with service from Super Gauge Express, Iron Horse, and Pony Express lifts. This is only the fifth Thanksgiving that the Mary Jane territory has been open for.
In the Winter Park territory, upper portions of White Rabbit, Jabberwocky, and Cheshire Cat will be open, as will the Hi-Lonesome Express lift and its corresponding trails.
With the additional 126 acres of Jane territory, the resort will have a total of over 250 acres open. The resort opened on Nov. 14 with 55 acres of terrain in the Winter Park territory and opened another 46 acres on Saturday.
Currently, the Dormouse, White Rabbit, March Hare and Village Way-Cramer Cutoff trails with service from the Eskimo lift are open.
With snow in the forecast between Thanksgiving and Saturday night, the resort hopes to continue opening terrain throughout the weekend.
