Winter Park Resort opens for the summer

WINTER PARK– Winter Park Resort will open for the summer season this Saturday, June 15, with a full slate of activities, including the opening of Trestle Bike Park, Colorado’s longest Alpine Slide and scenic chairlift rides on the Zephyr Express.

Even with an abundance of spring snow, recent warm temperatures have facilitated melting. As a result, 70 percent of Trestle Bike Park will be open to riders on Saturday.

June also marks the beginning of the summer events calendar at Winter Park Resort and the Town of Winter Park. The month will feature Winter Park’s Chocolate Festival, National Sports Center for the Disabled’s Trax-N-Trails fundraiser, and Blues From The Top Music Festival.
