Winter Park Resort opens top to bottom skiing Friday: 32 acres of new terrain and two new lifts

Winter Park Resort received over 19 inches of snow since Thanksgiving, allowing them to open 32 acres of new terrain and two chairlifts on Winter Park Mountain this Friday, Dec. 5, at noon.

The Zephyr Express and Eskimo Express will open Friday at noon.

This is in addition to the already open Arrow, Gemini, Discovery and Endeavor chairlifts.

The Spirit and Meteor surface lifts are also operating in Sorensen Park, Winter Park Resort’s beginner area.

Thirty-two acres will be added, bringing the total open acreage for Winter Park Resort to 104.

The popular intermediate trail, Cranmer, will also open at noon on Friday. This is in addition to the already open Lower Hughes, Larry Sale, Bill Wilson’s Way, Porcupine, Parkway and Lower Village Way. Sorensen Park and Mt. Maury are also open for beginners.

Forecasts show that Winter Park Resort could receive another half foot of snow this week.

Additional terrain will be added as conditions allow.
