Winter Park Resort to open 220 additional acres today, tomorrow, including Vasquez Ridge
Winter Park Resort will be opening an additional 220 acres, including the Vasquez Ridge terrain, today and tomorrow.
The Sunnyside Lift and corresponding trails will open today and the Pioneer Lift and Vasquez Ridge trails will open Thursday. This will bring the total skiable acreage to over 600 acres.
Winter Park Resort has seen 61 inches of snow thus far, which is almost twice the 10-year average for November.
Other territory open includes the Winter Park territory, including Dormouse, White Rabbit, March Hare and Village Way-Cranmer Cutoff with service from the Eskimo lift, as well as the Mary Jane Trail and Arrowhead Loop opened Thursday with service from Super Gauge Express, Iron Horse, and Pony Express lifts.
The resort opened with 55 acres on Nov. 14 and added 46 more acres on Nov. 17. The Mary Jane territory opened 126 acres on Thanksgiving, the earliest Jane opening since 2010.
More snow is forecast for later this week and earlier next week, which means the resort will continue opening terrain.
