Winter Park Resort to open Parsenn Bowl on Friday
Winter Park Resort announced Wednesday that the Parsenn Bowl Territory will be opening on Friday, expanding skiable terrain on to mountain to over 1,100 acres for this weekend.
Temporarily plagued by a dearth of snowfall, the resort has welcomed 32 inches of new snow in the last seven days, and has more than doubled its open terrain since last week.
With the addition of Parsenn Bowl, the resort now has runs open on five of seven territories, leaving only The Cirque and Eagle Wind territories closed for the time being.
While the resort has yet to announce which runs specifically will be open in the bowl, they expect to open a handful of runs off of the Village Way Trail and in the surrounding area, according to Steve Hurlbert, director of public relations and communications for Winter Park Resort. Specifics should be made available Thursday afternoon.
