Winter Park to host public workshop on town plan update

Do you have a vision for the town of Winter Park? If so, the town would love to hear about it.

The town of Winter Park is planning a public workshop to discuss the new town plan update, an initiative called Imagine Winter Park, on April 11 at the Winter Park Town Hall.

Imagine Winter Park is an update to the town’s 2006 Master Plan, a policy document that helps town staff and elected officials make decisions on land use, development, public services and economic development.

Residents, local business owners and other interested parties are welcome to gather and converse with town officials to review the community’s vision and guiding principles, learn about potential opportunities and projects for the town, and share feedback in an interactive round-table discussion with other community members.

Topics will cover everything from how to incorporate higher densities along Main Street, where to locate recreational amenities and what a year-round economy looks like here in Grand County. Following a short presentation, participants will be invited to break into small groups for discussions. Light refreshments will be served.

For those unable to attend, you can still give your input via an online survey available at wpgov.com/imaginewp following the workshop. The workshop will go from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
