Wolf Creek Ski Area opens for the season Saturday

PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – A third Colorado ski resort is opening for the season.

Wolf Creek Ski Area in southwest Colorado says it will have three lifts running for opening day Saturday.

It says its base was helped by 10 inches of new snow from a storm that passed through this week.

Loveland was the first Colorado resort to open on Oct. 24. Arapahoe Basin started the season a day later.

Copper Mountain and Keystone are scheduled to open Nov. 5.
