Women pilots group airmarking Granby field

99s (Colorado Women Pilots) Airmarking at Granby/Grand County Airport-Emily Warner Field starting at 9AM on Saturday, June 13, 2015.

The Colorado Chapter of the 99s, Colorado Women Pilots will be painting the town name on the newly designated Granby/Grand County Airport-Emily Warner Field (GNB) on June 13.

Volunteers will be painting over the previous airmarking in 20-foot letters and numerals that read GRANBY 123.0 in bright yellow highway paint.

Everyone is invited to join the group for the remarking party on June 13.

Emily Warner is one of the original Colorado Pilots Association members and charter signers. She is best known for being the first woman commercial airline pilot to be hired by a passenger-carrying regular airline (Old Frontier) and first female member of the Airline Pilots Association.
