Work Your Pass Off for Arapaho National Recreation Area on Saturday, May 14

GRANBY – The Sulphur Ranger District of the Arapaho National Forest is sponsoring its Annual “Work Your Pass Off Day” on Saturday, May 14.

Volunteers who participate and work four hours collecting trash along the shorelines, boat launches and picnic areas earn a free annual pass to the Arapaho National Recreation Area (ANRA). The event begins at 8 a.m. and finishes at noon.

Participants can meet at the Sunset Point Boat launch one mile east of Highway 34 off the Arapaho Bay Road, or Green Ridge Boat launch on County Road 66 to pick up trash bags and complete their volunteer forms. Volunteers should bring work gloves, water, snacks and dress for changing weather conditions.

Participants must be at least 18 years old to earn an annual pass. Participants under 18 years of age are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

“We greatly appreciate the volunteers who help us clean up the ANRA every year and hope they enjoy their annual pass,” said Lance Perrin, ANRA field supervisor.

The ANRA Annual Pass normally sells for $30 and is valid for 12 months. The pass provides full access into the ANRA.
