Cathy Walton-Smith: It’s tough to be far away from Day as Father’s Day approaches
As Father’s Day approaches this weekend, I get in the frame of mind to think warm and fuzzy thoughts about my Dad. He’s getting up there in years; managing the day-to-day is getting a little harder for him and takes a little more time. He’s living the good life in Florida, like so many. Warm days and nights, beautiful beachfront sunsets, deep-fried seafood restaurants on every corner – yes, it’s all good. But I’m so far away. And I miss him.I was just there to see him in May, but I’m already ready to go again. I’ll be making that Sunday morning phone call this week like so many others here and around the country. Happy Father’s Day, Dad – I love you.The Sagebrush has expanded with a new room. They can now seat up to 100 guests. It has a working fireplace that will be in use on our cold days year round.
