Fishing Corner: Pressure ridges on lakes can pose danger to anglers

Bernie Keefe
Fishing Corner

The lakes in the area have ice and people are walking and riding on them. Be aware of the pressure ridges and cross them with caution. Grand Lake and Willow Creek is fishing very well for rainbows in 6-10 feet of water. The pump canal is fishing well with small ice jigs and bait under a bobber. Willow Creek is also fishing well for Kokanee in the river channel. The lakers in Granby and Williams fork are biting well in 30-80 feet of water.
