There are so many things going on in Kremmling the next two weeks that no one will be home. Whoever you are looking for will be at one of these events.

Meet the Candidates for the Kremmling Memorial Hospital Board election, tonight from 6-8 p.m., at the Community Room at the Kremmling K-8 School. Candidates for the four year terms are Tom Clark, Amy Mahon, Brenda Bock, Jeffrey Miller, Paula Ohri Chamberlain. The two-year term candidates are Marsha DiRienzo, Kent Whitmer, Terry Walker, Kristen Manguso, and write-in candidate Bernie Murphy.

The hospital election will be Tuesday, May 4, at the Kremmling Memorial Hospital District board room. If you won’t be present on election day, contact Sherri Solawetz at Kremmling Memorial Hospital at 724-3442 for an absentee ballot application. More information about the election can be provided by Laureen Myers, the Designated Election Official at 724-3465 or Eric Murray at 409-9017.

The Pre Prom Fashion Show will also be tonight at 7 p.m. at the high school auditorium. The public is invited and there is no charge. Students from the junior and senior classes will model their prom dresses and tuxedos. Some special models from the elementary school will also participate in the fashion show.

The theme this year will revolve around the junior/senior prom theme of “Fire and Ice.” The fashion show will include health messages about the dangers of indoor tanning, alcohol, tobacco, drugs and safe driving tips for teen drivers. The prom will be Saturday, May 1.

A bike rodeo for kindergarten through fifth grade is scheduled for Thursday, April 29, at the K-8 school. Children are asked to bring their bikes or scooters and helmets if they have one. There will be a station to try on helmets and they can be purchased for $8. Middle School students can purchase bike helmets at the end of the school day for $8 or $11 for a multi-sport helmet. This safety event is sponsored by the Kremmling Police Department, Kremmling Memorial Hospital, Kremmling Fire Department, EMS and West Grand Elementary.

The Kremmling Preschool is sponsoring Family Soup, Salad and Movie night, Thursday April 29, at 6 p.m. at the high school. The dinner and movie will be $5 per person. The movie will be “Alvin and the Chipmunks, the Squeekuel.” Proceeds and donations will go the Kremmling Preschool Scholarship Fund.

The 28th Annual Canepa Happy Feet Spring Dance Recital will be May 1-2 at the high school auditorium. The program on Saturday, May 1, will be at 6:30 p.m. and on Sunday, May 2, at 2 p.m. Admission is $6 and children under 5 are free. Proceeds benefit the Easter Seal Handi-Camp. The Kremmling High School play “Here Comes the Judge” will be presented on May 7-8. Admission will be $5 for adults and $3 for students. Senior citizens and elementary and younger children will be free. Zeta Pi Sorority will sponsor dinner before the play on both evenings. Friday’s menu will be Sheppard’s Pie, roll, salad and drink and on Saturday evening, Lasagna, garlic bread, salad and drink will be offered. The dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the cost is $6. Dessert will be offered for $1.00.

Do your kids like bugs? The Bug-Eyed for 4-H Cloverbud Day Camp will be Saturday, May 7, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. The camp for 5- to 8-year-olds will have fun and educational activities about bugs, T-shirts and other souvenirs. There is room for 20 kids at the camp, and the cost is $12. Contact Shyla Bohall at 724-0707 or
