Letter: Grand Lake Historical Society has failed its fiduciary duties in one area

During our process of auditing our records for the Grand Lake Area Historical Society, we found that we were not holding up to our fiduciary duties in one area. This situation has been going on for a number of years.

We are liable to honor our responsibility to our Grand Lake community, donors and members, and find it necessary to change a policy in this aspect of our nonprofit organization. In doing so, you may hear rumors and have some questions and concerns. If you notice some change, hear rumors, have questions or concerns please direct these to the executive board. The phone number is 970-627-8324 so please leave a message. It could be a few days for someone to return your call. A fiduciary is a person or persons to whom property or power is entrusted for the benefit of another.
