Letter to the editor: Fond memories of Beaver Guest Ranch

Randy Schulte
Apison, Tenn.

Thank you for the informative story on the demise of the Beavers Guest Ranch Lodge and its replacement by the new facility.

Beavers holds a special place in my heart as my family visited there in 1967 where we rode endless trails including the Corona Road and were stunned by the sublime mountains surrounding the ranch. We did a lot of square dancing in the lodge!

Then in 1975, I spent the summer as a wrangler there, bunked in the lodge basement and rode all 100 horses at least once. Time canters on, and changes are inevitable. But know that Beavers made an indelible impression on countless lives leaving us with a Rocky Mountain high to remember always.
