Letter: With marijuana store decision looming, remember that ‘people get the government they deserve’
In-depth investigation by Rocky Mountain PBS-TV shows the marijuana being sold today is five times more powerful and more harmful than the marijuana smoked by the Hippies of the 1960s.
The Granby Town Board is 100-percent opposed to a marijuana pot shop at the western edge of Granby and is asking the Grand County Board of Commissioners to reject the pending pot-shop license. In deciding to make your voice heard with the BOCC or not, recall what French historian Alexis de Tocqueville famously said, “In a democracy, the people get the government they deserve.” At the next election, a thought to remember.
