The Rotary Club of Grand Lake was pleased to award Mountain Family Center a $10,000 grant in support of its senior services and the mobile food pantry. Rotary president, Greg Finch, hand delivered the check to Mountain Family to confirm the Club’s commitment to the organization.

“Our club members voted unanimously to support these vital causes,” stated Finch in a news release. “Mountain Family Center is an incredible organization providing so much to Grand County and we appreciate that they work with us to dedicate our contributions to services that are important to Grand Lake residents.”

Finch added that the rotary’s mission is to support the community of Grand Lake as well as broader Grand County.

“The Rotary Club of Grand Lake continues to be an invaluable partner as we work to provide hunger relief, senior transportation and other essential services to our residents,” Mountain Family’s Executive Director Stacy Starr stated. “We sincerely appreciate their fundraising efforts and wonderful spirit of service to the community.”

The Rotary Club of Grand Lake raises funds throughout the year with events such as bingo nights in Grand Lake Town Park on summer weekends, as well as its signature event, the July 4th Pancake Breakfast. The Club supports many local causes, including student scholarships and nonprofit projects. It also supports national and global humanitarian causes as sanctioned through Rotary International.
