Businesses in Grand County now have the opportunity to cut energy costs and boost efficiency through Sustainable Grand’s new Business Energy Assessment Program, according to an October press release from the nonprofit.
Sustainable Grand, in partnership with EnergySmart Colorado and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is offering comprehensive energy evaluations that identify ways to improve building performance and safety.
Certified local analysts assess insulation, lighting, HVAC systems and other areas, then provide a detailed report outlining recommended upgrades, projected savings and return on investment.
For a limited time, Grand County small businesses can receive an 83 percent discount on a business energy assessment. Through grant funding from the Rural Energy for America Program, Sustainable Grand is able to cover 50% of the cost of energy saving improvements they make, according to the release.
