Big Mountain Enduro, one of the largest enduro mountain biking competitions in North America, arrives at Granby Ranch on August 9-10. Over 200 competitors will go head to head in the final leg of a five-part series.

Founded in 2012, Big Mountain Enduro stops in picturesque vacation destinations throughout the Rocky Mountains, offering some of the biggest and most challenging mountain bike terrain in the country with a combination of backcountry and lift-accessed stages throughout the series.

Each race stage is specially designed to give participants a unique riding experience, including high altitude trails, a mix of pedal transitions and big descents that test athlete’s pure strength, endurance and technical skills.

After the opening stage in Las Vegas on May 24-25, the competition traveled to Sunrise Park Resort in Greer, Arizona on June 14-15, Tamarack Resort in Donnelly, Idaho on July 12-13 and Brian Head Resort in Brian Head, Utah on July 19-20.

In the women’s category, Porsha Murdock leads the standings with Isabella Naughton just a few points behind. For the men, Nikolas Nestoroff is currently in first place with Shane Leslie and Jace Locke hot on his trail.

This finale will feature athletes competing during two thrilling days of downhill and enduro action, plus a live sets from Grand Lake DJ Travis Taylor and retro rockers from Denver, The Velvet Daydream. At the bottom of the downhill track near the spectators, riders will take on a large “Hollywood” jump that clears a gap over a 1965 Chevy pickup truck named Wanda.

Located three miles from the town of Granby, Colorado, Granby Ranch has nearly 1,000 feet of vertical drop and over 400 acres of terrain suitable for skiing, biking, and hiking for all skill levels. The East Mountain features a downhill mountain bike park, accessed by the high-speed Quick Draw quad chairlift, which also provides entry to numerous cross-country biking and hiking trails.
