The Colorado Department of Transportation is performing maintenance operations at multiple locations in Grand County. Operations started July 29 and will continue through Aug. 1 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect delays and one-lane alternating traffic.
Work will take place at two bridge locations. The first location is the Granby bridge, located at mile points 212-213. The second bridge being worked on is located west of Granby and goes over the Colorado River, which is located at mile point 210.
CDOT added that crews will also be patching potholes near Red Dirt Hill, about 6 miles east of Granby. However, motorists can expect minimal impacts at this location, according to CDOT.
“CDOT crews will work as swiftly as possible to complete the surface treatment; however resurfacing operations are weather dependent,” the agency stated.
Along with delays, motorists should also expect restricted access to intersections at times and a 40 mph speed limit in construction zones. Vehicles may also be guided by flagging personnel and signs.
