Cox: Thanks to everyone who came out to the Bone Marrow and Blood Drive

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Bone Marrow and Blood Drive for Chris Cox

Dear Friends, Family and Community Members,

I want to thank all of you who came out to the Bone Marrow and Blood Drive at the high school on the Dec. 14. It is a testament to the sense of community that this county has that so many people were willing to take the time out of their busy schedules to come to the school for such a good cause. I am sorry that some of you were unable to be bone marrow donors, but you can still do it on your own by going to http://www.bethematch.com and ordering up a kit to be tested. Many of you were unable to donate blood because the schedule filled up so quickly but you can also donate blood directly at Children’s Hospital in Aurora or at any Bonfils donation station. Your blood or marrow could save a life today.

Christopher was touched when I told him about the huge turnout and about how many people are thinking of him. Please keep up the prayers and good thoughts for Christopher. He is a fighter and hopefully will be getting his bone marrow transplant in the next month or so.

I would like to thank Middle Park High School, The FBLA, the Interact Club and the Granby Rotary club and specifically Douglas Dean and Tyler Wengert for their hard work.
