Grand County voters will head to the polls on Nov. 4 to help shape their communities by electing regional officials and deciding on several local and statewide ballot measures.

Ballots were mailed beginning Oct. 10, and drop boxes opened on Oct. 13. Voters who haven’t returned their ballots can still do so at any of six 24-hour drop box locations: town halls in Grand Lake, Granby and Winter Park; the Grand County Administration Building in Hot Sulphur Springs; CSU Extension Hall in Kremmling; and the Grand Park Community Recreation Center in Fraser.

Voter Service Centers opened Oct. 27 and will remain available through Election Day. Residents can register and vote in person until polls close at 7 p.m. on Nov. 4. Ballot counting will begin immediately after polls close, with preliminary results expected that evening and final tallies in the days following.

This election offers voters a chance to weigh in on key issues affecting housing, emergency services, education, and public health.

Local Ballot Measures

  • Ballot Issue 2A (Hot Sulphur Springs): Proposes a $100,000 annual tax increase to fund town construction projects.
  • Ballot Issue 6A (Grand Lake Fire Protection District): Seeks to raise the property tax rate from 11.63 mills to 13 mills to support staffing, equipment, and emergency services.
  • Ballot Issue 2C (Winter Park): Would allow the town to retain and spend surplus revenue on municipal services like parks, roads, and public safety.
  • Ballot Question 2B (Hot Sulphur Springs): Asks whether the town can publish ordinances by title only, reducing publication costs while maintaining public access online.
  • Ballot Question 2D (Winter Park): Proposes removing outdated references to a “use tax” from the town’s administration code.

Statewide Ballot Measures

  • Proposition LL: Would allow Colorado to retain excess tax revenue from high-income earners to fund the Healthy School Meals for All program.
