Grand County DMV office to close for 10 days

The Grand County Motor Vehicle and Driver’s License offices will be closed from Feb. 13-23 during a statewide digital systems upgrade, according to a Feb. 10 press release from the county.
The Colorado Department of Motor Vehicles is undergoing a major digital transformation, upgrading its driver’s license and motor vehicle technology system, including the addition of the public e-services platform, myDMV. The office closures will occur while the system upgrades and staff training are underway, according to the release.
Grand County DMV and Driver’s License in-person services will be unavailable beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13 through 8:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23. Residents are strongly encouraged to complete driver and vehicle transactions immediately to avoid significant delays.
System upgrades will also impact online and kiosk services. Online DMV services and the self-service kiosk located in the Fraser Safeway store will be unavailable from Friday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. through Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 8 a.m.
