Grand Lake’s unsurprising, unofficial election results
The Town of Grand Lake held its regular municipal election on Tuesday, April 2 with only three trustee candidates appearing on the ballot despite four trustee seats open. Because two of the candidates were appointed the town was required to hold an election, according to Alayna Carrell, the town clerk.
According to Tuesday evening’s unofficial results, incumbent mayor Stephan Kudron ran uncontested for reelection and secured another four year term as town mayor with 28 votes. Candidates Julie Causseaux received 23 votes, Erick Bishop received 25 and 27 votes were cast for Michael Arntson, who all ran for Grand Lake Board of Trustee positions.
Since a total of four trustee positions were available, the fourth trustee will be appointed after the election. These trustees will all serve four-year terms and the appointed trustee will serve a two-year term on the board.
Official election results will be available no later than April 12, 2024.
