Fraser Valley Arts will host a community open house from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at the Fraser Valley Public Library to gather input on the future of arts and culture in the Fraser Valley.
The event is part of “Our Story, Our Future,” a monthlong interactive exhibit highlighting the organization’s history, current programs and plans for a proposed Fraser Valley Arts Center.
The proposed arts center is planned as a year-round space for performances, exhibitions, classes and community events in Fraser’s Riverwalk District. Fraser Valley Arts had raised approximately $5.4 million for the project as of August, and construction could begin as early as 2027.
Visitors can explore the exhibit, learn about the proposed arts center and share ideas for programs, spaces and experiences they would like to see in the community. The open house will include a presentation, interactive brainstorming activities, appetizers and nonalcoholic beverages.
The exhibit will remain on display throughout November during regular library hours for community members who cannot attend the open house.
