The Winter Park and Fraser Chamber and KFFR Community Radio are inviting the community to “Winter Park, Colorado Unfiltered” for the Alpenglow Bounce on Saturday, March 7. The event starts with a 5K race at 6:00 p.m. and lasts well into the evening with festivities and music.
5K participants can snowshoe, snowbike, or walk a glow-lit trail starting at the A-Frame Club in Old Town Winter Park. The first 100 ticket holders to arrive at the trailhead will receive a free portable radio, according to event organizers.
The course winds through the trees surrounded by lasers, lights and music, eventually leading participants to the Rendezvous Event Center.
Conditions on the Fraser River Trail are not suitable for cross-country skiing. Trail grooming ends at Roam Way, leaving a 15-minute walk on nearby sidewalks to reach the Rendezvous Event Center. Participants should plan to walk this final stretch, organizers said.
At the Rendezvous Event Center’s Green Room, the party continues until 9:00 p.m. for the KFFR Glow and Blow-Up Party. Featuring music from DJ Goodie and refreshments, the VIP experience includes a fundraiser to support the signal expansion of KWTR 89.1FM, the sister station to KFFR 88.3FM.
The official afterparty moves to Devil’s Craft at 9:00 PM, featuring live music from the Denver-based band Squeaky Feet.
Tickets are available at KFFR.org or on bit.ly/alpenglow2026.
The official event schedule is as follows:
- March 6, 12:00 – 4:30 PM: Early packet pick-up available at Winter Park Information Center
- March 7, 4:00 PM: Day-of registration & pre-party at A-Frame Club
