Middle Park High School alpine ski team heads to state championships

The Middle Park High School alpine ski team is headed to the state championships.

The Middle Park High School alpine ski team has been dominating the slopes all season long, and their hard work and dedication has paid off because they are headed to the state championships this week. The team has been sweeping the podium at almost every race, showcasing their incredible skills and teamwork.

Under the guidance of coach Lisa Maribito, the team has shown immense talent and determination, making them one of the strongest teams since 2010. With their exceptional performances, Middle Park High School will be sending 14 athletes to the state championship. The Colorado High School Activities Association’s 2024 Alpine Skiing State Championships will be held Feb.15-16 at at Loveland Valley Ski Area in Dillon.

The team’s success can be attributed to their relentless training and commitment to excellence. Each athlete has pushed themselves to the limit, striving to be the best they can be. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed, as they have consistently outperformed their opponents and set a high standard for the competition.

Beyond the state championship, the athletes will have the opportunity to qualify for nationals at Mammoth Mountain. This is an incredible opportunity for the team to test their skills against some of the best skiers in the country. The athletes are ready to rise to the challenge and represent Middle Park High School with pride and determination.
