Colorado Parks and Wildlife is thanking the military community by giving active duty military, veterans and the National Guard free admission to all state parks this August.

Resident and nonresident service members and veterans can take advantage of the offer by picking up an August Military Pass at any state park or parks and wildlife office. Proof of service, like a military identification card, is required to receive the pass.

Other park fees, like those for camping reservations, boat registration and fishing licenses, still apply. The passes are not valid for State Wildlife Areas or State Trust Lands.

To view state park locations and get more information about each park, use parks and wildlife’s park finder tool. View Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s other military benefits, like free admission to state parks on Veterans Day, at CPW.State.co.us.
