Five nationally recognized artists will share their work and reflections on their time in Grand County during Shadowcliff Mountain Lodge & Retreat Center’s third annual artist residency showcase Sept. 11.
The public event will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Grand Lake Community House, 1026 Park Ave., and feature artists working in dance, photography, poetry, music and multimedia.
The 2026 artists-in-residence are choreographer and 2019 Guggenheim fellow Kimberly Bartosik; photographer and 2025 Guggenheim fellow Tommy Kha; poet and writer Saretta Morgan; cellist, writer and interdisciplinary artist Ethan Philbrick; and visual artist Debra Yepa-Pappan.
During their residency, the artists have engaged with local ecology, community leaders and Rocky Mountain National Park. The Sept. 11 event will give attendees an opportunity to experience their work and hear about their time in the area.
The residency is presented in partnership with the Grand Lake Creative District and supported by the Teazey Foundation and a Colorado Creates grant.
