This September, Grand County Library District invites you to celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month and discover how a single card can open the door to endless opportunities.
With a library card, you can do more than check out books. From free classes and job resources to book clubs, streaming media, and cultural events, today’s libraries connect communities to information, inspiration, and each other.
This year’s theme, “One Card, Endless Possibilities,” is a reminder that libraries are for everyone—no matter your age, background, or goals. Whether you’re diving into a new hobby, searching for your next great read, brushing up on tech skills, or helping your child succeed in school, it all starts with a library card.
At all five library locations, you’ll find:
- New books, magazines, eBooks, databases, business resources and services, and Career Online High School’s diploma program
- Library of Things – musical instruments, games, bike repair kits, and more; Access Grand for tickets to local museums and recreation trails; and Exploration Stations for inspiration, creativity, and innovation
- Programs and events for all ages—from Storytimes and Afterschool Clubs to guest speakers and Senior Lunch & Learns
Getting a library card is free, easy, and empowering. For students, it’s a key to academic success. For adults, it’s a gateway to lifelong learning. For everyone, it’s a smart way to stay connected to your community.
Join us throughout September for special Library Card Sign-Up Month activities:
- Play Library Card Bingo – all locations, all month long!
- Clubs, movie nights, exercise & movement, and crafting classes
- Teen hangouts, virtual reality, and a Strawbees builders’ lab
- Digital and media literacy classes
Stop by or visit us online at GCLD.org. Sign up for your card today. Because with a Grand County Library District card, the possibilities are truly endless.
