They grow up so fast, don’t they? The livestreaming osprey chicks on Grand Lake are now several times their original size. They’ve been feasting on fresh fish caught by their mother and father.

With great weather and plentiful fish, the chicks will soon start learning things that will help them as adults, says livestream custodian Kent Roorda.

“It is not uncommon for Mom to leave them alone for short periods of time now,” Roorda said. “Nevertheless, she is still there the majority of the time to feed them and protect them.”

The two osprey chicks in Grand Lake are growing quickly with the help and support of their doting, steadfast parents. The non-viable egg was still visible in the nest on July 15.
