Rocky Mountain National Park closes Trail Ridge Road due to weather

Byron Hetzler | Sky-Hi News
Rocky Mountain National Park closed Trail Ridge Road at 6 p.m. Wednesday due to a wintery weather forecast.
With the park expecting extremely low temperatures, wind and snow, Trail Ridge Road was closed at Many Parks Curve on the east side of park and at the Colorado River Trailhead on the west side.
A popular stop along Trail Ridge Road, the Alpine Visitor Center has already shut down for the season. The park says rangers will reassess conditions daily, and reopen Trail Ridge Road when and if conditions allow.
