SIA Snow Show coming to Winter Park, Devil’s Thumb
Grand County, CO Colorado
The 2011 SnowSports Industries America Snow Show kicked off in Denver yesterday, Jan. 27, and will continue through the weekend at the Colorado Convention Center. More than 400 exhibitors will be attending, showing nearly 900 brands across 3,200 booths.
The show will once again deliver the hottest snow sports trends, innovations, educational seminars, product presentations, personalities, events, concerts, meetings and parties. Show attendees will conduct business that can only happen during the SIA Snow Show – viewing full color-lines and major trends for Winter 2011.12, meeting with key principals and networking with industry leaders face-to-face.
On Monday, Jan. 31, the Snow Show will make its way to the place where it all happens – the mountainside. For three days, Winter Park Resort and Devil’s Thumb Ranch will host hundreds of industry representatives who will give trade show participants an opportunity to test out gear on the snow over a three-day period. Alpine, snowboard, AT, telemark, backcountry, cross-country and snowshoe gear will be available for testing by registered Snow Show participants.
“Our second year in Denver has shaped up really well with a sold-out Show, retail registration is up over last year and the number of exhibitors for both the Snow Show at the Colorado Convention Center and the On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest at Winter Park Resort and Devil’s Thumb Ranch are also up significantly,” said David Ingemie, SIA President. “Plus, all the great snow we’ve seen this season has led to very strong sales at retail.”
In addition to testing out the latest in equipment and accessories, attendees will hang with industry friends during parties, gatherings and events hosted by SIA Between both Winter Park Resort and Devil’s Thumb Ranch, more than 135 brands will participate at the industry only event.
New this year, the snow show is adding a third day to accommodate the reps and retailers in the Rocky Mountain Region.
“The SIA On Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest is an incredible opportunity for everyone in Winter Park and the Fraser Valley. We are expecting roughly 3,000-4,000 on-snow attendees on Monday and Tuesday. These guests are extremely influential in the snowsports industry and we are in a position to show them what an outstanding resort and community we have,” said Gary DeFrange, president and chief operating officer of Winter Park Resort. “After enjoying the incredible snow conditions, we encourage SIA guests to explore the restaurants and shopping in The Village at Winter Park and throughout town.”
