Charges have been filed in the deadly Aug. 7 crash that claimed the life of an Arvada woman.

The head-on collision occurred on on U.S. Highway 40 west of the town of Kremmling. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene, identified as Danielle Cisneros.

The crash occurred when Hermann allegedly crossed the center line while driving a Subaru Crosstrek. She collided head-on with Cisneros’ vehicle, which Cisneros was driving with two young passengers. These two children were flown by helicopter to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

Charges not yet filed in Highway 9 collision that killed five

The investigation remains ongoing for an Aug. 4 crash that claimed the lives of five members of a Kremmling family, according to an email from the 14th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

This head-on collision occurred on Colorado Highway 9 south of the town of Kremmling. Five members of one family were pronounced deceased at the scene: parents Manuel Cabral-Torres and Andrea Banuelos-Salazar, with their young children Maria Cabral-Banuelos, Manuel Cabral-Banuelos and Andres Cabral-Banuelos.

The initial investigation of the crash found that a 25-year-old man from Parker driving a Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on Highway 9 when he drove into the southbound lane, striking the Cabral-Banuelos’ vehicle. He was transported to the hospital via a helicopter with life-threatening injuries.

Colorado State Patrol spokesperson Ivan Alvarado told Sky-Hi News that investigations of deadly crashes can take months, or sometimes over a year, to be resolved.

There is no update from Colorado State Patrol on the condition of those hospitalized in either collision.
