GRANBY – Wagner Rents, a local heavy equipment rental facility, will be closing its doors April 16 and consolidiating its business into their Silverthorne location.

Wagner Rents has been operating in Granby since 1999, according to Regional Operations Manager Chris Adams. The company did not lay off any employees due to the move and has offered all current employees a job at the Silverthorne location, he said.

“Granby has been good to us over the years, it’s just the market doesn’t look too promising,” Adams said. “I don’t think the market will pick up in the near future.”

Adams said many of the resort communities have been suffering in recent years, though “Grand County has been an extra hard market.”

The company will continue to serve Grand County from its Silverthorne location, according to Adams.
