West Grand School District hosted its annual Multicultural Night on Oct, 15, drawing more than 180 students, families and community members to celebrate global cultures and local unity.
The day began at the elementary school, where students presented research projects on countries around the world. Hallways turned into a vibrant gallery of traditions, foods and landmarks, fostering peer-to-peer learning.
Evening festivities at the Jr./Sr. High School featured interactive booths from local organizations, including Mountain Dreamers, Grand County Advocates and the Rotary Club. Attendees collected stamps in their “passports” while engaging in cultural crafts and games.
The multicultural potluck seasoned the night, offering dishes from the Philippines, Italy, Mexico and more, accentuating the district’s rich diversity. A concurrent clothing drive reinforced the evening’s spirit of generosity, providing families with warm winter gear.
The celebration showcased West Grand’s commitment to connection, learning and inclusivity, making Multicultural Night a cherished tradition in the community.
