West Grand School District is ready and excited to start the 2025-2026 school year. We have several exciting changes while we continue to be “Committed to Excellence in Education.” The move to a K-6 (elementary) and 7-12 (junior and senior high) structure will strengthen our academic and social opportunities for students.
The buildings will be led by homegrown leaders with Principal Breanna Winter at the K-6 and Principal Jennifer Stuart at the 7-12 building. We are welcoming several other new staff members to the West Grand team.
We look forward to implementation of our five-year strategic plan, focusing on three big buckets of work:
1) growing student skills
2) developing staff and leadership
3) strengthening community connections.

Each of our students, staff, family members and community are a piece of the West Grand journey and our success together. If you haven’t yet, make sure your student is registered for the school year, both returning and new students, through our online system, Alma.
The best place for students and families to get our updates, news and specific building or classroom communication is through our Parent Square app. Community members can also register for Parent Square to get district communications. Follow the latest, updated schedule of events for the entire district on our google calendar. All of this information can be found on our district website at WGSD.us.
Join us as we continue to be Grand Today and Greater Tomorrow. We are looking forward to a great year of growth and success. Go Mustangs!
The first day of school is Monday, Aug. 18.
