The Winter Park & Fraser Chamber and Grand Kids Learning Center are partnering to bring the third annual Winter Wonderland to Rendezvous Event Center on Feb. 3. The purpose of the Winter Wonderland is to celebrate the winter through family-friendly activities, while also fundraising to support Grand Kids.
Winter Wonderland features a 5K fun dash, free live music featuring Talking Swifty Heads (a Talking Heads/Taylor Swift cover band), lots of kids activities and crafts, sledding and a hot cocoa station. The event is presented by Rendezvous Colorado.
The over the snow 5K dash will start at the A-Frame Club in Old Town Winter Park at 1 p.m. Participants of all ages can snowshoe, cross country ski, fat-bike or walk with snow cleats on the Fraser River Trail to the Rendezvous Event Center via the Winter River Trail. While on the trail, participants can stop and win fun prizes by doing a quick activity. Once at Rendezvous Event Center, participants will enjoy live music and many other fun winter activities.
Parking for race participants in Old Town is limited. The chamber encourages all participants to ride the Red Line of the free Lift shuttle bus to The A-Frame Club.
The festivities last from 1-4 p.m. Prices and additional information are available at PlayWinterPark.com.
