Beginning Wednesday, Colorado Department of Transportation crews will perform two-day surface treatment operations on the U.S. Highway 40 Tabernash bridge, between mile points 223 to 224. CDOT stated that drivers traveling east of Tabernash will encounter 10 to 15 minute delays, full stops and one-lane alternating traffic between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
On Tuesday, crews completed surface treatment of a one-mile segment of Highway 40 in Fraser, from mile points 227 to 228.
Next week, paving operations should continue east on U.S. 40 along multiple areas between Tabernash and Granby. Operations are expected to last until July 18. In all work zones, a speed limit of 40 mph will be enforced.
“CDOT crews will work as swiftly as possible to complete the surface treatment; however paving operations are weather dependent,” the agency stated.
