Tabernash resident Richard Klingner captured this dramatic shot of lightning striking the ground during a storm over Fraser and Winter Park on Friday, July 15. The Fraser pole yard was also hit, but East Grand Fire Protection District firefighters quickly put out a fire ignited by the strike, according to the Grand County Sheriff's Office. On Monday, another lightning strike hit Mount Baker, in Grand County, on the west side of Rabbit Ears Pass. Clean-up crews are currently working on that one.
